The National Report on Schooling in Australia and its accompanying Statistical Annex were first published for the 1989 school year and subsequent annual editions were published until 1994. In 1995 it was agreed to merge the two volumes and include statistical tables (which previously had been provided in the separate Statistical Annex) in the main report.
The annual reports provide, in an accessible and readable form, a comprehensive account of schooling to the nation.
Where to find a copy
A copy of each report has been distributed by education departments to every school in Australia free of charge.
Copies of each report are lodged with all Australian State Libraries and with the National Library of Australia.
